    Abstract
Each year thousands of refugees and immigrants seek asylum into the United States. Many of these individuals carry a limited amount of personal possessions through this journey, but an abundance of trauma and anxiety. Although there are a number of studies focused on this population across the world, there lacks a variety of programs and workshops offered to these individuals specifically in the United States. Over the years art therapy has proven to be an effective treatment modality with traumatized individuals, including refugees and immigrants. The following proposed program is designed to treat school age refugee and immigrant children who display signs of anxiety. This program utilizes Mandalas as a primary focus to support lessoning stress and anxiety symptoms.
