    Abstract
This project is concerned with the preparatory steps which the author must complete in order to assure that a spirituality manual, appropriate to the needs of the Society, will be utilized once it has been developed. It has significance for pastoral theology because it can serve as a model for lay leadership in a collaborative project between clergy and laity where the collaboration is based on common concern and is entirely voluntary.
