    Abstract
This project is the attempt to design, implement and evaluate a program that addresses spiritual and pastoral concerns of such discernment. In an age that demands quick responses, quick action and accurate information from every angle on every question that comes to mind, the process of discernment to a vocation as a deacon is clearly counter-cultural. This is a process that will unfold for each aspirant/candidate throughout a three to four year period of formation. There is no quick answer, and the Church must put forth the effort to do the discerning she is called upon to do.
