    Abstract
It is my hope and my dream to share my own experiences with other adult children of alcoholics so that together we may more effectively minister to God's people. "Even when we know that we are called to be wounded healers, it is still very difficult to acknowledge that healing has to take place today."® We can be true signs of hope to others when we respond to our calling to recognize and deal with our own sufferings. This is the beginning of any genuine service to others. Our service is more authentic when it comes from a heart wounded by and recovering from the very suffering around which we are trying to pastor another.
