    Abstract
One of the main concerns of my project is that churches have adopted the "business" model for decision making in their daily operations. This model overlooks the spiritual dimension of running a church. As this year progresses, I will attempt to help the church council and ministry teams to see themselves more as spiritual leaders and less as business leaders. The emphasis upon spiritual leadership will attempt to help the church decision making bodies realize that their goals are different from those of business. Their concerns should be for servanthood and stewardship rather than for competition and production. Questions that we will address throughout this transition from committees to community will include the following.
    Subjects
    Lay ministry; Christian leadership
