Abstract
The Parish History project is truly pastoral in nature for several
reasons. First of all, the gathering of the materials - articles, pictures,
newspaper clippings and verbal anecdotes - involved many people. Secondly,
the project brought people together to tell their stories of the early
parishioners and to hear the stories of others. Through this story telling
the people were encouraged to give thanks to and for those who rooted the
virtues of faith, love and service so deeply in our parish family. Thirdly,
a bond of camaraderie and friendship has developed among the writers of the
document. I consider this a very special outcome of. the project.
