    Abstract
An opportunity to cultivate such an environment is an after-school latchkey experience which holds at its core a strong Catholic identity. As an option for parents needing after-school care for their children, this program will offer opportunities for catechesis in a safe environment where Christian values and Catholicism are integrated into the sacredness of their child’s daily routine. An anticipated bonus blessing of this type of program is that by intimately integrating Catholicism into the ordinary of life, the soil will be prepared and the seed will take hold to flourish both within the child and the family unit.
