Abstract
In planning this seminar my goal was for participants to become aware of
the importance of language/images in the development of our relationship
with God, to identify their operative images of God, as well as expand on
these images. To meet the needs both of women who have begun this
journey as well as those for whom the idea is threatening or at least
unfamiliar, my intent was to limit the images chosen for discussion and
prayer to those found in Scripture. Any woman in the parish interested in
this topic was invited to participate through bulletin and pulpit announcements as well as by personal invitation (see Proposal, 6).
