A Strategic Communications Plan for SMWC's Admissions, Financial Aid and Business Office

The priorities of this proposal will address the necessary steps in which to create a strategic communications plan for the Admissions, Financial Aid and Business Office Departments at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College. It will establish the need for a plan and the means by which it can be implemented. This proposal could establish an opportunity in which to provide not only these departments but students, faculty, and other staff members the benefits of a strategic communications plan. This proposal will show that a strategic communications plan can help with increased efficiency and increased effectiveness in how jobs are performed. Information about each department will be included along with the job titles of who staffs each department. Objectives and overall goals will be part of the department description showing the dependency of each department on each other and the need for proper communication. Identifying the factors that are involved with the current communication process at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College will help in the direction of the research for this project. Focusing on the reasons for the process which are to better serve the students, faculty and staff will guide the study. After analysis of the research, recommendations will be given to support the need for a strategic communications plan for the Admissions, Financial Aid and Business Office Departments at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College.
