My purpose for the pastoral project is to provide a tool for intentional prayer as a model of instruction to be a practical approach to prayer with patients, families, and hospital associates. This intentional prayer tool is to assist chaplains in being more intentional in their praying styles when ministering to patients, families, and hospital associates. It is my experience that people who are sick are not so much moved by a particular prayer style, but they are especially moved by what is actually said during prayer time with them. People tend to hesitate to pray specifically; this is why I have named intentional prayer as the focus of this pastoral project.en_US
