Women of color have the same qualities and traits that women of majority hold so why is it that they are seen less and less in the realm of a leadership position? Women, as a whole, count for nearly a fourth of leadership positions. Women of color are becoming more diverse in the fields that are gaining degrees in. With this growing trend, more businesses and companies have to create a diverse leadership board to encourage and develop these women. With bringing awareness to the issue, this will allow the opportunities for women of color to grow and gain success in the fortune 500 companies and any other corporate position they decide to reach for. Women of color strive to be great and successful but are shut down because they look different from the rest of the more common labor force.
