Since the inception of manufacturing, many changes have occurred through the creativity and desire to improve a particular process. Change is necessary to move forward. If we can recognize that change is normal and will always exist, only then can we be open to new ideas and work as a team to improve. The need to change is typically brought on because someone has said the process is broken. The Sales and Marketing team at Rea Magnet Wire offered an aggressive service plan to our largest distributor EIS in order to gain market share. The new service plan caused many pain points, which ended up requiring the input from other areas of the Company and resulted in the situation being elevated to upper management. Thus the project begins with all the layers of a cross functional team as we discover what the issues are and identify the changes that are needed to improve the rework process.en_US
